5 prompts that replace your blank page.
You don't run out of ideas because you're not creative. You run out because your prompts are too flat.
Most people open ChatGPT, type "give me content ideas," and wonder why everything sounds like it was written by a LinkedIn intern.
The fix is not more creativity. It's better structure. Prompts that force tension, contrast, visual direction, and cultural collision. Prompts that create the conditions for ideas to appear instead of asking for ideas directly.
Here are 5 I actually use. Copy them. Fill in the blanks. They work for AI campaigns, visuals, concepts, content, and creative direction.
Take these two unrelated worlds: [WORLD 1] + [WORLD 2] Create 10 original ideas by combining them in unexpected but commercially useful ways. For each one include: core concept why it's interesting how it becomes a video, campaign, or product the detail that makes it memorable
Why it works. Forces contrast. Stops you making the same obvious thing everyone else is making.
Create 15 ideas around [TOPIC] that feel viral, controversial, visually addictive, or emotionally sharp. Base them on: cultural tension before / after secret beliefs a familiar world flipped an uncomfortable future a simple idea with huge visual payoff For each idea, include: hook visual concept why people would share it how to keep it premium, not gimmicky
Why it works. Gives you ideas with actual charge. Not just tips, but ideas people pause, share, argue with, or save.
Act as a creative director developing a concept for: [BRAND / SONG / PRODUCT / TOPIC] Give me 10 distinct creative directions. For each direction, include: big idea mood colour palette setting characters or objects camera style emotional feeling one signature shot Make each direction feel like it could belong in a: campaign editorial music video cinematic short
Why it works. Turns a boring idea into a world. Gives you the visual language, not just the topic.
Here is my idea: [PASTE IDEA] Now destroy the obvious version. Give me: 10 cliches it could fall into 10 ways to make it less expected 10 more specific versions 10 premium visual details 5 darker, weirder, or more emotional angles The goal is to turn a basic idea into something with taste, tension, and originality.
Why it works. The taste filter. Helps you remove anything too expected before the audience does it for you.
I have this idea: [IDEA] Turn it into a content universe. Give me: 5 short-form videos 5 carousels 5 BTS breakdowns 5 educational posts 5 business / automation angles hooks for creatives, brands, AI-money people, and aesthetics people Also suggest: recurring visual style recurring language signature framework a path to a product or service
Why it works. Turns one good idea into multiple assets. One thought becomes a campaign, a content series, a lead magnet, and potentially a paid product.
| # | Prompt | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | The Weird Bridge | Unexpected concepts from collision |
| 2 | Break the Internet | Viral angles with cultural charge |
| 3 | The Creative Director | Full visual worlds from one brief |
| 4 | The Anti-Obvious | Taste filter for better ideas |
| 5 | Content Universe | One idea into a full system |
You don't need all five on every project. Start with whichever one matches where you're stuck. Weird Bridge for blank-page moments. Anti-Obvious when the idea exists but feels flat. Content Universe when the idea is strong and needs to scale.
